Borrowing
You will need your student ID badge to borrow books and equipment in the Learning Hub.
Self-service
There is a self-service machine which you can use to borrow, renew and return books. To borrow using the self-service machine you will need to have your student ID badge activated at the main desk. Please remember to sanitise your hands before and after use.
Loan periods
Loans are available for one, two or three weeks depending on the item and can be renewed once. If you want to request a renewal, you can come and see us in person, renew via the self-service machine, give us a call on the phone or send us an email. Overdue fines can be easily avoided by getting in touch with us via one of these methods.

If you would like to borrow a book that is already out on loan, you can reserve most of our books, which can be collected from the Learning Hub’s main desk once it becomes available.
Borrowing limits
Fines and replacement charges
Fines will automatically start to accrue daily if you fail to return items by their due date. Fines will be charged as follows.
Three week loan

Weekly/Two weekly loan
15p per item per day
